In Selected Dusks, Mimi Salibio gathers moments that hover between radiance and obscurity, fragile intervals when light concedes, and shadow begins to speak. Dusk, which is neither conclusion nor prelude, serves as a threshold. From this liminal hour, the artist distills memory, distance, rupture, and repair into fields of thread.
Working on textile, Salibio inscribes. Each thread is placed with deliberation, every puncture a quiet assertion of presence. Her surfaces, meticulous and exacting, reveal an almost meditative rigor. The artist's hand moves with restraint, yet the compositions breathe with emotional density. In Salibio's practice, sewing is an ethic; intention anchors every strand, binding fragility to endurance. Through thread, she renders twilight as becoming, an hour where vulnerability gathers strength, and the quietest hues carry the most enduring truths.
