A symbol of sustenance and nourishment, the kitchen serves as a metaphor for the human experience, one that is filled with constant transformation. Mimi Salibio explores this concept as she confronts the transient nature of mankind's existence in "Shambles in the Kitchen."

The exhibition delves into the intricate tapestry of chaos and disorder inherent in domestic spaces - the kitchen, being an area where preparation and consumption are most palpable. Through her medium of thread, Salibio weaves poignant commentaries on the ephemeral quality of society's emotional, psychological, and physiological pursuits. The artist invites the viewer to contemplate methods of how one consumes food, experiences, and relationships, and the inevitable heap of clutter that emerges.

Rendered in threads of introspection, Salibio's oeuvre is a meditation on the human condition, a thought-provoking investigation of the tangible and intangible, literal and metaphorical, aspects of survival. It unravels layers of meaning embedded within the shambles, imploring the viewer to identify one's distinct role in the ambitious tapestry of life.
