Stillness marks a quiet yet pivotal turn in Arnold Lalongisip’s artistry, an expansion in subject and in substance. Long recognized for his contemplative avian forms, Lalongisip now renders his signature bird through resin, a medium that both preserves and transforms his visual language. In this debut, the material becomes more than a vessel; it is an atmosphere, lucid, reflective, and almost immaterial.

Perched upon a solitary rock, the silver chrome bird hovers above a plane of imagined water, its surface absorbing and dissolving the world around it. The sculpture resists narrative in favor of suspension, where time settles, and stillness is presence distilled. There is a disciplined restraint in Lalongisip’s composition. The elements are sparse: bird, stone, water, each carrying a weighted silence. What appears minimal unfolds as profound: a study of balance, solitude, and the delicate threshold between motion and rest.

In Stillness, Lalongisip encourages the viewer to pause, linger, and perhaps, encounter the quiet within themselves.
